2010 marks Sue’s twelfth summer at Lindenmere supervising our diverse art program. Sue, an artist and author during the school year, ensures that all of our projects are exciting, interesting and unique. Sue also oversees all thirteen art staff and provides support to each program throughout the summer.

Emily is a graduate of the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Printmaking, Art Education and an Art History Minor. Emily now works as a teacher in Philadelphia and is excited to be back for year number three at Lindenmere!

Parkland, Florida

Rachel attends the University of Florida where she is majoring in advertising. She was very involved volunteering with special needs children throughout high school and is currently still doing volunteer work with children in college. She is excited to rejoin our art program and lead the candle making program for year number two!

After spending her entire childhood growing up as a Lindenmere camper, Sarah transitioned to the role of counselor with ease last summer. Nobody knows our jewelry program better than Sarah and she is excited for another fantastic summer. Her love and passion for Lindenmere is easy to see and it is contagious to everybody around her! Welcome back for year number nine Sarah!

Anne is attending Leeds College of Art where she is concentrated in visual communications. She also has a wonderful background in most other areas of art including stained glass which will be her focus this summer. Anne has volunteered her time supporting children with physical and emotional disabilities. She has also volunteered time teaching children to read and dance.

Megan joins us this summer as part of our ceramics staff. Working in our art department is a perfect job for Megan as she combines her two loves- children and art. She is an art education major at Cornell College where she has taken a wide assortment of art classes covering everything imaginable! Upon graduation, Megan hopes to become a high school art teacher.

Amy is a student at Miami University majoring in education. As an aspiring teacher, Amy is excited to spend her summer at Lindenmere working with children! She has been involved with art her entire life and has had some of her work published and displayed. We look forward to adding her smile, maturity and enthusiasm to our jewelry program!

Amber has been involved with art her entire life and upon returning from camp this summer, hopes to teach art full time. She specifically has focused her passion for art on ceramics where she just completed an intensive ten week course involving advanced throwing, glazing and casting techniques. Amber has worked with children in a variety of settings and cannot wait to add camp to the list!

Gabrielle comes to us from James Madison University where she is studying global justice. She has attended summer camp before and has a great understanding of both art and children. We know that Gabrielle will make our tie-dye program more colorful than it has ever been!

Rebecca is getting her degree in art education from Saint Vincent College. Upon graduation, she plans on becoming an art teacher. Becca specializes in drawing and painting and spends at least 10-12 hours a week outside class in the studio painting and drawing. In addition, Becca has spent the past semester teaching an art class and has completed a project designing and painting the signs for a local golf course.

Upon graduating from George Mason, Anna hopes to become a high school teacher. She has extensive experience working with children both as a nanny and interning at a local school with their theatre program. Her varied art background will make her a wonderful addition to our knitting and general crafts staff.

Gary has been an avid woodworker since he was twelve years old and is earning his degree in the field so that he can become a woodworking teacher. After spending the past several summers backpacking through Europe, Gary cannot wait to show our campers how to make models, rockets and other woodcraft projects!
