Daniel Decker DEPARTMENT HEAD Lyndhurst, Ohio Dan is working with the Ohio University swim team as a grad assistant/assistant coach. Dan’s background includes working with the Ohio University Aquatic Center, the Ironman Triathlon and the Alexander High School swim team. Dan brings with him the ability to make learning to swim fun!
	Mia Wilkowski Merrick, New York After spending nine summers as a camper, including completing our two year Leadership Training Program, Mia will transition from camper to staff member with ease. Mia dedicated much of her free time last summer to helping out with our youngest girls. We know that they loved her warmth, her smile and her gentle nature and she loved spending the time with them. We are excited to welcome her to our waterfront staff this summer!
	Laura Friday Gahanna, Ohio Laura currently attends The Ohio State University and she is hoping to become a teacher once she graduates. Laura has been a competitive swimmer her entire life including being captain of her high school swim team her senior year. She spent four years as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons. Laura attended camp as a child and is looking forward to the opportunity to give to her campers the same type of amazing memories her counselors gave her!
	Hope Brill Mount Vernon, Ohio Hope joins us from Ohio where she is a student at the College of Wooster. She has a varied waterfront background as she is an experienced swimmer, red-cross lifeguard, water aerobics instructor and water park lifeguard. She was the captain of her high school’s soccer team and was also president of her high school’s environmental club.
	Avery Hammond Battle Creek, Michigan Avery attends Michigan State University where she is majoring in education. Avery loves being in the water and on the water and will make a great addition to our waterfront staff! When not swimming or boating, Avery is an avid runner and has played the piano for ten years..
	Christine Johnston Glendora, California Growing up in California, Christine was never too far from the water. She is still an avid swimmer and lifeguard and spent last summer working at a California water park. Christine is a senior at Cal State Fullerton and we are excited to have her join our staff!
	Derick Rodgers Salt Lake City, Utah Derick is at home around the water having grown up as a swimmer and attending family fishing trips. Derick is part of a professional acting company and has been a part of many shows, highlighted by his performance in High School Musical (the movie). His fun, friendly and intelligent approach to life will be a perfect match while he is working at our lake.
